Been gone for the past few months because of personal issues, so things slowed down around here. But, now that things are settling a bit more I'll see to it that OutpostAvP is more active again. Starting with news!

Yes, indeed, it was reported today that a new Aliens game is in development under the capable hands of Creative Assembly. In case you have not heard of them, they are the development team behind the brilliant Total War series, some of the best RTS games out there. But, does this mean the new Aliens game will be an RTS? A Total War Aliens game? That would be odd to say the least..

Actually no, as a matter of fact. A producer at Sega was quoted as saying

"This is very much a triple-A project," Sega West boss Mike Hayes added. "We want this to be a peer to the likes of Dead Space 2."

Dead Space 2? Now, that's more like it.

This would not be the first time a traditionally RTS developer decided to take their shot at an action game. The extremely talented Relic Entertainment, the developer behind RTS giants like Homeworld, Dawn of War, and Company of Heroes is currently developing a third person action game, Space Marine.
