Sources are indicating that the Alien Prequel project Ridley Scott has been working on for some time is now dead, and instead has transformed into something more "original".
Supposedly, the project slowly evolved into a new idea unrelated to Alien but will still use the script written by Lindelof with some changes. It is now a film being called Prometheus. Sorry fans, it looks like we wont get to see the Alien series possibly saved from mediocrity.
Other good news about the project though is that Noomi Rapace has been announced as the lead role for Prometheus. Which, if you all remember, was Scott's number one choice for the Prequel.
