It's been awhile, my friends, but there is news! Not much on the front of Prometheus other than the occasional tidbits of detail regarding characters.. But, Colonial Marines has a brand new 11 minute gameplay demo posted online! It's shot off-screen, so, it doesn't look as great as it could. But, it nevertheless looks fantastic.

The gameplay looks solid, albeit pretty similar to the Marine gameplay of Aliens vs. Predator (2010). Not necessarily a bad thing, because there are key improvements to take note of.

Firstly, it looks like the voice acting is well done, which is a definite plus. Also, key little details like the overall atmosphere and level design are much much closer to the look and feel of Aliens. In fact, "much closer" doesn't really do it justice, they essentially perfectly recreated the look and feel of Hadley's Hope and LV-426. And I couldn't be happier about that.

Also, other little details like having to take out the motion tracker to actually see it rather than it being on the HUD, and that it features co-op, or the really solid looking animations. All together, it looks like its shaping up to be a very polished and amazing game. Stay tuned for more! We're nearing the release, it's only about 6-7 months away!
